Clarion's big fair held forth last week and the biggest crowd ever on the fair grounds was here on Thursday. The crowd was estimated at from 12,000 to 15,000 and the higher figure was probably conservative.

The exhibits proved to be below the average in number, some departments being failures.

The people missed the special attractions which usually help to interest the crowd between races.

The household and fancy work departments were good and the main building was pretty well filled with creditable displays.

The races were fair and attracted considerable attention.
