This site provides free resources, data, and assistance to those with local and family history interests in Clarion County.

Welcome to the new format of the Clarion County PAGenWeb site!

Some browsers were incorrectly presenting errors to visitors, and that should now be resolved.

Please bear with us as we revise and update the pages and add lots of new content for you to browse through.  Be sure to check out the data boards and post a query if you haven't already done so.  We hope you'll also join us on Facebook.

The PAGenWeb Project

The PAGenWeb Project was created in 1996 in association with the USGenWeb Project to answer the ever-growing needs of genealogists who were trying to research their ancestors in Pennsylvania.

The PAGenWeb Project is a not-for-profit volunteer genealogical organization dedicated to the free access of genealogical information by anyone in the world.

How Can You Help?

Why We Are the Best

Can you type?
Even if you can only use two fingers, we could use your help!

We have old newspaper articles, old books, and many more items that are loaded with Clarion County history.
Your Webmistress can send PDF files of material that needs to be transcribed. You can type in your own space and at your own pace, then e-mail the text back for uploading to this Web site.

Submit Your Data

One of the goals of the Clarion County PAGenWeb site is freely sharing source records with others.  To facilitate that sharing, the we have created a number of Data Boards for you to submit your source records.

These Data Boards are hosted by PA-Roots.com, and we are very grateful for their continued support.

It is important that you utilize the correct Data Board for your data.  If you choose the wrong type, posting may be delayed.  Posts are reviewed by the administrator before they are added to the site.

Please only submit Queries on the Query Board.  If you submit a Query to any of the other Data Boards, it will be deleted.

The function for responding to a submission on the non-Query boards has been turned off.

Data Boards for Clarion County include

  • Birth Records - Utilize this Data Board to submit a Birth Record.
  • Deed Records - Utilize this Data Board to submit a Deed transcription.  Please include the complete deed and the source of it as well.
  • Marriage Records - Utilize this Data Board to submit a Marriage Record.
  • Newspaper Clippings - Utilize this Data Board to submit a clipping from a Newspaper.  Please include your source.
  • Obituary Records - Utilize this Data Board to submit an Obituary transcription.  Please provide the source for the Obituary.
  • Will & Estate Records - Utilize this Data Board to submit a Will transcription.  Please include the complete will and the source of it as well.
  • Township Records - Utilize this Data Board to submit information about a township.
  • Military Records - Utilize this Data Board to submit military information for individuals.
  • Court Records - Utilize this Data Board to submit transcripts of Court proceedings.
  • Death Records - Utilize this Data Board to submit a Death Record.
